NTFactor® is a food and food extract based formula that contains glycophospholipids, probiotics, growth media and antioxidants.
The NTFactor® formula, through the process of Membrane Lipid Replacement (MLR), is designed to reverse the damage done to the membranes of our cells and mitochondria by oxidative stress and chemical reactions.
MLR is the process by which healthy, undamaged phospholipids in the supplement are absorbed in the gastrointestinal system and transported through the body to replace damaged phospholipids in the membranes of cells and membranes of subcellular organelles, such as mitochondria (the little batteries inside each cell that produce almost all of our cellular energy needs) and restore membrane function.
The NTFactor® formula is a unique combination that allows the healthy phospholipids to stay intact during ingestion and transport through the body. It contains “friendly bacteria” or probiotics that create a stable environment in the gut that helps the healthy lipids be absorbed in the digestive tract and to travel through the body without being degraded. It also contains some growth media that enhances the colonization of probiotics and antioxidants that neutralize free radicals before they can attack and degrade the healthy phospholipids.
When the phospholipids in the cellular membranes of the mitochondria are damaged, cells are no longer able to produce and transfer the necessary amounts of energy to maintain the body’s normal metabolic processes. Depending on the organ of the body where the damage has occurred, a number of changes can be seen, such as reduction in brain function, short-term memory loss, brain fog, and other effects.
The most common symptom of phospholipid and mitochondrial damage is physical fatigue or loss of overall energy to perform normal tasks. This is called chronic fatigue when the fatigue cannot be reversed by sleep or rest and has a duration longer than 6 months. MLR has been used to successfully restore lost membrane function to cells and mitochondria, and in the process significantly reduce fatigue and chronic fatigue. The benefits of NTFactor® in significantly reducing fatigue and chronic fatigue have been proven in a number of studies and clinical trials published in peer-reviewed medical journals that enrolled subjects with unrelenting fatigue or chronic fatigue.
